Agnes Water Caravan Park – A great place to be for the long Melbourne Cup weekend
Posted on October 31, 2014Hello to another week’s Agnes Water caravan park accommodation blog from the Captain Cook Holida Village crew, we hope you have had a great week leading up to the long Melbourne Cup weekend. It has been a lovely week around Agnes Water and the caravan park grounds, with the sun shining and the beautiful wildlife coming out on show. Let’s see what the holiday getaway town has planned for the next week.
Firstly, the weather looks to be heating up nicely as we are well and truly set into the spring season. The week long average of the daily temperature tops looks to hover around the 27 degree mark, with the all important Melbourne Cup day off being a nice 25 degrees. There will be the odd spot of showers throughout the week but mainly nice and sunshine.
The beach will be looking perfect over the week for the whole family. The Agnes Water main beach will have calm waters, not the best conditions for challenging yourself in the surf. However, the weather and waves will be perfect to take it easy beachside or pulling out the boat and going fishing. There have been some awesome fish caught lately around Agnes Water so they are certainly out there and biting.
In other news, the newly opened Agnes Water shopping centre had its grand opening on the 18th of October with a great response. Eight years in planning this new shopping centre is a nice addition for locals and travellers to Agnes Water, offering a great shopping experience.
Also happening in Agnes Water this week is:
- The Discovery Coast Rotary will meet at 1770 Bowls Club on the 2nd of November from noon,
- The Agnes Water Orchid & Foliage Club meets at MAD Nursery from 5pm on the 3rd of November,
- Melbourne Cup Luncheon by the Discovery Coast Rotary at the 1770 Bowls Club on the 4th of November, Melbourne Cup day and,
- Crafty Ladies meet of Agnes Water at 45 Jakeman Drive from 9:15am on the 5th of November.
Thanks for stopping by the caravan park of Agnes Water crew blog. We hope you have an awesome week, and enjoy yourself and the Melbourne Cup.
