Daylight Savings Kicks In
Posted on October 11, 2013G’day, hope all is well. The NRL season’s all done and dusted for another year as we welcome in daylight savings, yes beautiful late sunsets are on the horizon. Feels like the school holidays are a distant memory, but this weather is helping.
Over the next week the weather will hover around the 27 degree mark. Almost time to whip out the Speedos for the summer and have them on high rotation. Wednesday though looks to shower a little so mark every other day down for fishing, beach and golf. The week’s also forecast for High UV index (aka the sun will be hot) so slip, slop and slap yourself and others.
The surfs nothing to write home about, maxing out at just over a foot high waves. If you are just starting out or want to take it very easy, surfs up. My advice though is grabbing the rod and reel and making use of the calm waters.
The Grand Sand Slam Golf Day on Eurimbula Beach will be on this Sunday. The fundraising event goes towards Captain Cook Lions Club. If you enjoy the beach or golf, or simply the great weather this should be fun. For more information contact Mark on 0448 754 194 or Cheryl on 0428 452 836.
That’s it for this week’s blog. Let’s hear from you on the Captain Cooks Holiday Village crew Facebook page. Enjoy yourselves, till next time.
