Halfway through the School Holidays

Posted on September 27, 2013

G’day, hope you all enjoy yourselves and stay safe these school holidays. One week down, only one week left but the Grand Final should ease us all back into routine.

The weather has been great so far for the holidays and it looks to continue. The next week should hover over the 26 degree mark with the sun pocking out through the clouds. The UV index is on high alert so if you are out and about slap yourself with some sunscreen.

The surf is offering maximum of a foot wave’s week long, it could be a great opportunity to get the young ones on board. If that isn’t for you and you want to advantage of the awesome conditions fish up a storm, absolutely perfect weather for fishing. To add to the fishing value the Baffle Creek Family Fishing Festival kicks off today, and runs until Sundays. To find out more of the festival click here.

Other then the AFL Grand Final there’s some other events happening this weekend. Tomorrow will be the first meeting for 1770 Open Water Swimming Group. For enquires call Penny and Chris on 4974 7111 or just turn up for the meeting opposite The Tree at 2:45pm. The Discovery Coast Markets will be on this Sunday at the SES grounds.

Sign up your little nipper and/or volunteer to be apart of Agnes Water Surf Life Saving Club on Sunday. The sign up runs from 9am until noon. There will be plenty going too with the sausage sizzle, a club house tour, games and activities and a complete rundown on the junior membership program.

Share what you are up to these school holidays on the Captain Cook Holiday Village crews Facebook page. Till next time enjoy yourself and the holiday, thanks for stopping by.
