The Latest of the town of Agnes Water, 1770

Posted on July 26, 2013

G’day, hope you are well coming down off the high of welcoming Kate and Wills baby, the newest prince, George Alexander Louis to the world. Only hours till the weekend and what to do? Let see what Queensland’s uncluttered relaxing getaway town, Agnes Water, can offer.

It all starts with the weather… if it is sunny day’s well surfs up, if not seeing Hugh in The Wolverine. Over the next week it is mostly sunny and a little overcast skies with the occasional shower, picking up towards the end of the week. No shattering of mercury but a nice temperature, as per usual it will be hovering around the early 20 degree mark.

If you have the chance grab the board, the waves are looking nice and it should continue. The surf this morning was crisp breaking with the odd bigger one. Something for each experience level.

Did anyone by chance see the local rugby last weekend, Agnes Waters own Marlins had a thunderous showing against South Kolan. The end margin being the biggest for the season of 114 Marlins to 6 South Kolan. Well done to the 1770 rugby team, great form with only a few games remaining in the season.

On the sporting note don’t forget to mark the 4th of August for the NRL coaching clinic for girls and boys. It should be great fun for the whole family. The day kicks-off at 10am with a two hour coaching clinic taking the young ones through the basics and running some fun drills. There will be hot food and the bar opens midday.

Thank you reading this week’s blog, we would love your thoughts of Agnes Water on the crews Captain Cook Holiday Village Facebook page. Enjoy yourself!
