School holiday’s hours away, anything planned?
Posted on June 21, 2013Hello from the lovely land that is Agnes Water. We hope you have your school holiday plans done and dusted but if you don’t let see how 1770 can help.
The Captain Cook discovered town, Agnes Water has the school holidays all wrapped up and in the bag. Enjoy with the young ones surfing or fishing on the lovely beaches, 4WD, sailing, a reef trip, walks and picnics in the beautiful national parks or simple take it easy.
Let’s see what the weathers offering to get us out and about. Today maybe a little bleak and glum but the rest of the week is mostly sunny with lovely rays of sunshine. Not to warm and not to cold hovering around the 21 – 22 degree mark. It doesn’t look to rain either after today.
The waves aren’t giving to much excitement at the moment but chin up. The swell should pick up before Tuesday so plenty of time for surf later. If the kids are keen to get into the surfing these conditions would suit new wave goers. If you ask me though maybe use these couple of down days to fish.
No Agnes Water rugby this week, the Marlin boys have a bye but have taken up a bigger challenge. Join the side this Saturday as they take on the big time Agnes Water bowlers. High stakes of pride on the line, it should be a nail biting event. The venue gives home town advantage to the bowlers at 1770 bowls club, making them short odd favorites. The showdown is 1pm till 3pm then free for all bare foot bowls, sure to be great family fun.
You can also get among the locals this Sunday at the Discovery Coast Markets. Hold at the SES grounds support the community spirit.
We hope you have a great time these school holidays, and if you’re travelling travel safe. From the Captain Cook Holiday Village Crew thanks for reading and let us know your thoughts on our Facebook page. We will see you next time.
