The week of Agnes Water
Posted on May 17, 2013Hello all hope all is well.
Great win by Agnes Water local boys, Marlins. The change in grounds from the cow paddock to proper fields seems to have done the trick, expect good stuff coming from the boys. Let hope the spell of form continues as we take on Avondale in Agnes Water this Saturday. Get down there and support the local grassroots football.
The Art Show & Quilting Exhibition will kick off Captain Cook 1770 Festivities held in Agnes Waters Community Centre. This will get the community together, a great way to the Captain Cook 1770 annual Festival. If arts, crafts and quilting are your cup of tea head down, opens 22nd May at 6:30pm.
While we’re talking on the subject of tea, the Biggest Morning Tea is being whipped out at Miriam Vales Community Centre on the 23rd of May. Get on board and support a great cause.
The big one, 1770 Captain Cook Festival, will have a grand opening night of local music and art talent. Art n’ Jazz will get us all up for the weekend festival open in Agnes Waters Community Centre at 7pm the 23rd of May.
Let’s check out the weather for the week ahead. It’s slowly having a change of season hovering around the 23 degree mark, but looks to be mainly sun with only a little rain to end the week. Make the most of it while the weather holds true.
To the waves and it’s a day for beginners on the surf. Bumpy surf conditions with little to challenge the veterans but it’s a chance to get the kids on board. When one door closes one open though. Great conditions for fishing; get out there and save on your dinner.
Thanks for reading this week in Agnes Water and don’t forget to get into the local festivities. Let us know how you go, stop by Captain Cook Holiday Village Facebook page.
From Agnes Waters own Captain Cook crew we will see you next time.
