Not long till Captain Cook 1770 Festival

Posted on May 10, 2013

Awesome solar eclipse this morning, hope you didn’t look straight at it.

The hype and anticipation is growing with great acts flocking and named to the Captain Cook 1770 Festival. It will give a big turnout if the performers attending are anything to go by. Save the date, 25th and 26th of May, not far away now. If you’re not familiar with the Captain Cook 1770 Festival it’s got it all for the whole family. See great music talent performing live, parades, art, market stalls and more. Book your accommodation today to have a prime position for the event.

Sponsoring the Festival is Channel 7 so keep tuned in and see some local business adverts. Channel 7 will be advertising businesses in 1770 Agnes Water and the Captain Cook 1770 Festival too in the lead up to the event.

The local Marlin boys of Agnes Water had a nail bitter against Gin Gin, coming up the trumps by the slender margin of 2. Let’s hope it’s more of a blowout this Sunday as we take on top of the table Miriam Vale. Marlins aren’t far from the top with a win this weekend taking them to ladder leaders.

The weather in Agnes Water has found a new degree to hover at, staying around 24-25 degrees. It should be great weather for fishing till Wednesday, if you have the time toss out the line. A few clouds about but a bit of sun too so make the most of it when it’s there.

In surf it’s been a nice week out there on the beaches with a bit going on. Great waves out there and should stay strong at least over the weekend. Call in sick for the traditional Sunday brunch and cuppa routine and make the most of the surf on offer.

Give your thoughts on the Captain Cook Holiday Village Facebook  page. Have a fun one and thanks for stopping by; also get out on the waves this weekend while it lasts. Till next time from the Captain Cook Holiday Village crew.
